Christmas Time!!

Updated: Jan 6, 2021

Don't you just love Christmas, it's the time of the year when we spread cheer and happiness through everyone? 2020 has been a hard year for some of us and we couldn't get to our families. But good for you, I'm gonna share some of my Christmas recipes so that you could make them at home to cheer yourself! I made many desserts which are easy to make.

Buche de Noel:

Buche de Noel is a traditional Christmas yule log served mainly in France and Belgium. Buche de Noel is very easy to make you just need simple ingredients like eggs, flour, sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. For the filling, you need butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, and Nutella or any hazelnut chocolate spread. For the outside, I used chocolate ganache which is basically chocolate and heavy cream. Making meringue cookies is optional. That is just egg whites and sugar whipped.

Macarons:

Macarons have been a family favorite since I started making them. I always get people saying, ' how did you make these' or ' Can you please send some?'. I made tiramisu, strawberry, and orange macarons. These were tasting amazing! I made a batch with my family first and they turned out looking flat, but then I made some with no one around and they turned out perfect! I put strawberry and orange jam in between the macarons and but mascarpone buttercream inside the tiramisu ones. I tried to make a tower but it didn't turn out so good. I used royal icing and it just didn't dry out. Still, it turned out perfect.

Eggless Cookies:

Ok, these are melt in your mouth cookies that are eggless! I know right! These are made with butter, powdered sugar, flour, vanilla, and rice flour. Anyone could easily make these! I tried to make the egg ones but they were too hard and the butter kept getting greasy. But these were perfect too! Many of our friends are vegetarian and don't eat eggs so these were perfect.

Classic Chocolate Cookies:

These were soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. Best cookies to dip in milk for Santa. Creds to joyofbaking.com

Santa Hats:

Santa hats are basically strawberry dipped in white chocolate and marshmallows on them.

They are very easy to make. It's so simple you only need three ingredients. To add a sparkle just roll it in some sparkling sugar.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE !!
